Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Internal Medicine Program Director to lead the development and implementation of a future Internal Medicine Residency Program in Tallahassee, Florida. This program is a joint venture with an accredited medical school. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional administrative and team building skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and extensive experience with ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of the Internal Medicine Residency Program

· Lead the recruitment of faculty and staff and ensure adequate mentoring and development of trainees

· Liaise with faculty, staff, and other departments to ensure the smooth functioning of the program

· Monitor and evaluate the program's performance and progress

· Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards

· Represent the program in professional meetings and conferences

Qualifications:

· Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine

· Minimum of 3 years of faculty experience in an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program

· At least 3 years of GME administrative experience prior to appointment

· Willingness to combine administrative and diagnostic (teaching) responsibilities

· Strong administrative and team building skills

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience and Skills:

· Recent scholarly activity such as peer-reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or education organizations

· Ability to lead and motivate a team

· Ability to think critically and problem solve

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
