Agronomy Sales Leader

The Agronomy Sales Leader is primarily responsible for in-field sales coaching and development of the agronomy sales team with the objective of aggressively growing marketshare and overall profitability. In addition, the Sales Leader will be expected to form deep relationships with the top 20 accounts to help maximize our share of wallet with these key growers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1. Sales Team Development (60% of time)

   1. Coaches and provides feedback to effectively and constructively enable individuals to achieve high performance and certification

   2. Attracts, develops, and retains critical and diverse talent

   3. Communicatees to team and proactively shares business goals and objectives

   4. Conducts in-field ride alongs with staff and assists in the pre-call planning and post call debriefs

   5. Identifies areas to improve grower market share and provides proactive and strategic solutions to team.

2. Business Planning & Execution (30% of time)

   1. Develop individual business plans for each sales agronomist.

   2. Monitor execution of business plan and provide quarterly updates/forecast.

   3. Key grower follow-up on SA call activity.

   4. Executes strategy to grow Agronomy sales and increase margins

3. Sales Team Enhancement (5% of time)

   1. Continually recruit new talent by attending industry events

   2. Coordinate continuing education

   3. Coordinate career development with SA

4. General Management (5% of time)

   1. Monitor AR by sales agronomist and mediate the collection when needed.

   2. Promote Product Management Interaction & collaborate on strategy.

   3. Promote Key Supplier Interaction

   4. Inspect grower claims when needed.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 10+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must have a valid driver license.

• This position will require 85% travel.
