Fall 2021 New Ventures Biology Internship

RTW Investments is seeking interns interested in joining our new ventures team this Fall.

RTW is a New York-based firm focused on building and investing in new and emerging biotechnologies and medical technologies. Investments are made anywhere in a company's life cycle, from idea conception to clinical and commercial stages. RTW was founded in 2009 and manages US $6B which it invests globally and across the capital structure to include both public and private companies.

This internship is focused on better understanding diseases and performing deep dives to evaluate new ideas. Interns will be tasked with reading & critically reviewing literature, synthesizing the information, and clearly presenting their thesis. The work is highly immersive within a collaborative and innovation-driven team.

The ideal candidate is either PhD/post-doctoral candidate from a top-tier university nearing degree completion, or an early-career industry-experienced scientist (1-3 years), or an MD. We also accept Master’s degree candidates with a strong biological sciences background.

Positions are available on a rolling basis and are expected to last approximately 2-3 months. This is a full-time and paid internship. Note this internship is currently VIRTUAL with participants working remotely. Pending COVID-19 developments, internship may be in-person.
