Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Medical Center, was recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report. At Virginia Mason our Registered Nurses blend skill, expertise and critical thinking with care, compassion and personal relationships to truly connect with their patients. CP12 is a medical surgical unit specializing in short stay surgeries and procedures. On our procedural side we see patients post cardiac cath/EP labs that have undergone heart catheterizations, ablations, TAVRs, pacemaker placements, and others. These patients frequently have TR bands to manage, sheaths, and/or require groin management. For our surgical side, we see patients from the PACU that have undergone thryoidectomies, TURPs, mastectomies, hysterectomies, among others. As the experts on the front line of patient care, you will have the opportunity to provide input and insight in creating change, improving process and reshaping the way our patient care is delivered.

 You’ll begin each shift by taking report from a nursing teammate before making your rounds. You will collaborate with other team members to provide the most positive patient experience possible.

Qualifications

We require:

Current WA State RN license is required.

1 or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients. -

CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
