Role description:

As a Project Manager, you will utilize your experience and technical knowledge of design and construction projects. You will have the opportunity to coordinate all aspects of projects with various stakeholders in order to ensure the successful completion of the projects within the established budget, time, quality and safety parameters. Exciting projects are infrastructure based and include traditional bid projects as well as Design-Build and other alternative contracting mechanisms.  At Arcadis we are moving to build the projects of the future.  Join our team to become part of one of the fastest growing and thrilling occupations.  In this position, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you had a part of something special and fulfilling. 

Role accountabilities:

  • Overall responsibility for project management for the duration of the project, including, planning, execution, oversight, control and completion of projects. Responsibility for payments, quality, progress, budget, public interaction, agency interactions, permits, claims, strategy, process improvement, performance and operations.
  • Schedule reviews.
  • Estimating.
  • Risk management.
  • Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality.
  • Reviews of pre-let and post-let design-build submittals.
  • Experience with implementation of Federal aid projects and/or grant administration and compliance.
  • Database entry, tracking, and reporting.  
  • Manage construction oversight and field staff.
  • Act as liaison to design staff to respond to Contractors’ RFI's and review of shop drawings.
  • Lead meetings with client’s personnel to coordinate concurrent initiatives, track procurement efforts, and assist with program / project delivery.
  • Manage office staff responsible for record-keeping, general correspondence, compiling and drafting of required reports and deliverables.
  • Manage financial performance of the project, budgets and mini proposal efforts.
  • Responsible for overall site safety, permit condition compliance and coordination with other participant Agencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

You are a multitasker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced shifting environments. You are solutions and outcomes focused and tackle challenges head-on.

In addition, you have the following requirements and competencies:

  • 5 years of project management experience.
  • Proficiency with PMIS Systems, Primavera and/or MS Project and the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • A resilient, flexible, and positive attitude.
  • Willing to perform varying duties depending on the shifting needs.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks of high complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build quality projects.
  • Proactive and can work autonomously.
  • Accuracy and quality driven, with good attention to detail.
  • Team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP,  401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program and optional benefits including adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.  We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.  The salary range for this position is $63,201 - $112,690.
