Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a Senior Range Engineer to work in the San Antonio, TX area. United States Citizenship and an active TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming position contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and operating network services and systems, to include hardware and virtual environments.
- Conduct Research efforts to support test and evaluation and range operations.
- Research, develop, evolve, and field capabilities and methodologies and to ensure these capabilities and methodologies are integrated with DoD guidance and policy.
- Conduct reviews of competing assessment programs, methodologies, processes, and objectives and provide recommendations on how to improve the defense cyber operations (DCO) concept, process, and reporting.
- Research, develop, document, and maintain methodologies that address the full spectrum of a test, assessment, or range event: planning, execution, and reporting.
- Provide system administration, documentation, and security services to administer, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot networks.
- Provide qualified personnel in the management and maintenance of all nodes of the Cyber Test and Training Ranges (CTTR) and personnel to emulate current Air Force Enterprise architectures and DoD architectures as well as technological changes and respond and have the ability to provide future architectures as well.
- Control and document the use of Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.
- Configure and maintain current and future training environments,
- Coordinate with outside agencies for current training system changes and future systems and with training developers on training changes and new curriculum.
- Develop courseware, curriculum, and course materials for initial and continuation training for Cyber weapons and or systems operators.
- Create and maintain persistent environments to support exercises, training, and mission rehearsals.
- Design, install, configure, and operate physical, virtual and constructive networks, and combinations thereof to train and certify various cyber mission forces and command and control personnel on deterrent and wartime activities and processes.
- Prepare and deliver a Configuration Management Plan outlining the installation and configuration management practices and procedures to ensure continuity.
- Provide technical services and coordinate with customers for training, exercise, and test events to include range development, operations, and maintenance.
- Provide scripting support to automate various range activities utilizing scripting language.
- Provide network Risk Management Framework and Certification and Accreditation services, including creating documents, suppling network diagrams, required artifacts, and coordinating C&A package submission.
- Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of and internal security policies and required information technology equipment custodian duties and requirements.
- Ensure all users have the proper security clearances, authorizations and need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before allowing access to test and range assets.
- Other support duties as needed/directed.

- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
