Technical Project Manager Job Description:

The role of the Technical Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize software development and other IT projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of cross functional team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Technical Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

What you will do as the Technical Project Manager:

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
• Communicate project expectations and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
• Manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project

What you will bring to the Technical Project Manager role:

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, management, business, or related field
• 5 years of direct experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
• 2-4 years of Agile/Scrum Project methodology experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, collaborative, time management, and analytical skills
• Related Professional Certification (PMP, CSM, ACP or similar) preferred
• 1-3 years of working with SaaS implementations preferred
