Northrop Grumman Space Launch and Missile Defense Systems Engineering is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer in multiple locations: Huntsville, AL, Morrisville, NC and McLean, VA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer and product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Well versed in Agile software development and performing collaboration between self-organizing cross-functional scrum teams.
• Conducted analyses at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, integration and test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Basic Qualifications:

This position may be filled at either Systems Engineer or Principal Systems Engineer level:

Systems Engineer: 2 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline; 0 year’s experience with a Master’s Degree

Principal Systems Engineer: 5 Years of relevant experience with a Bachelors in Science in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline; 3 Years with a Masters; 0 Years with PhD.

• Management of requirements using IBM Rational Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
• Experience with Model-based System engineering and CAMEO
• Active Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Top Secret Clearance
