Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle including helping finalize functional specification(s), articulating and implementing scalable designs and providing deployment support Design, develop/debug and unit/integration test programs in Java 6 SE/EE and ensure all code written is cross browser compliant.
  • Mentor junior developers in getting up to speed with the applications and perform code review as needed.
  • Expected to remain conversant with new web programming technologies and be prepared to undergo training in said technologies as circumstances dictate.
  • Take CVS/GIT branches and perform merges as Monitor scrum boards, participate in calls to aid and bring issues to a resolution effectively.

Required Skills

  • Expert in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MYSQL.
  • Be creative, detailed oriented, quality focused and resourceful.
  • Must be comfortable working “hands-on” with managers in a fast, growing brand.
  • Strong communication skills in English – both written and verbal.

Required Experience

  • Five or more years of demonstrated programming experience with at least 2-3 years in Java and Web related technologies.
  • Five or more years of experience in working with DB2 UDB and/or relational database.
  • Experience working with different models of Web Services (WSDL and Restful).
  • Experience working with CVS and SVN or GIT is a plus.
  • Experience working with waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with any test automation/build frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with any ESB tool is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field
