Item Processing Specialist

JOB SUMMARY: 
Provide operational support for item processing in accordance with established procedures; coordinate workflow to meet schedules for cash letters; maintain processing and balancing documentation. Responsible for checking address changes for the Nebraska Banks.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provide operational support for item processing using an image capture scanner and 4|Sight, to process for all banks.
Assure all runs are processed and uploaded according to set procedures.
Maintain reports of balancing and uploading for assurance of accurate and complete processing.
Initiate maintenance calls when needed and monitor the image scanner is well maintained on a weekly basis.
Answer, respond and direct telephone calls promptly and professionally. Take messages as needed.
Answers customer inquiries via phone/chat on a rotational basis.
Other duties as assigned

 
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bank operations or item processing experience preferred.
Be able to work independently and increase pace with workflow.
Must have good problem solving abilities.
Moderate computer skills
Ability to follow procedures.
Flexibility of hours is required to cover shifts and high volume periods.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Keyboarding and computer skills desired.  (Software skills will be trained--using 4Sight software.)   
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.
Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).

Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

 
Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
