CASE Career Central Advancement Services Coordinator

The Hun School of Princeton seeks a dynamic Advancement Services Coordinator.

The Advancement Services Coordinator oversees all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge database, gift entry processing, financial report creation, analysis and forecasting in response to - and anticipation of - fundraising needs, conducts prospect research, and assures quality, consistency, and accuracy of all data.The Advancement Services Coordinator is a 12-month, full-time position, reporting to the Director of Advancement.Responsibilities Overview:Database:

Maintain an accurate Raiser’s Edge database, with an eye towards improving the quality and effectiveness of the database; Identify and recommend courses of action on any data quality issues; Update constituent records, manage the flow of records from Veracross (admissions) to ensure accurate transfer of information; Train colleagues on proper use of the database, including queries, reports, etc.; Prepare donor lists for Annual Report; Process the summer clean-up/change-over; Run lists, mail merges, prepare reports as requested by advancement, business office, or communications; Maintain confidentiality of constituent information; Ensure compliance with School’s policies and procedures around data.

Gift Entry:

Perform accurate gift entry, recording, and processing of all contributions to the School; which includes daily and periodic reconciliation with the Business Office; Manage and execute the gift acknowledgement and pledge reminder processes, in partnership with the Associate Director of Donor and Parent Relations; Create weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the advancement team, provide reports to Business Office as requested; Respond to queries with regard to the annual audit.

Research:

Monitor news sources for information regarding members of the Hun community; Assess and determine capacity and inclination ratings through electronic and peer screening ; Produce research briefings on individuals and foundations; Create and implement a moves management program to track progress toward major gifts, work closely with colleagues to manage, record, and report on moves management and other campaign-related data; Suggest new and innovative ways to help team maximize the use of data to understand donor behavior and drive fundraising; Work collaboratively with all members of the advancement team to successfully achieve departmental goals; Strategize with team to develop and maintain prospect lists for campaign priorities.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree; Strong background in data/systems management; Extensive knowledge of Raiser’s Edge and NXT (or similar database), Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel skills; Excellent interpersonal skills including responsive customer service and strong oral and written communication; Ability to research and institute new ways that data can be recorded and extracted in an effort to enhance advancement efforts; Superior project management skills with the ability to analyze and synthesize information with acute attention to detail; Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, which may be altered or redesigned as necessary; Value collegiality and teamwork; A commitment to a diverse and inclusive community; Self-starter and anticipate needs before they arise.
