Overview

Join the Pediatric Neuromuscular Program and the Division of Pediatric Neurology as a Research Coordinator II, Licensed Physical Therapist. We are looking for a team member who enjoys navigating patients and families through the study process at a site level. Recruit, schedule, and support participants throughout the study in a hospital setting.

Serve as a clinical research coordinator with responsibilities to initiate, organize, and coordinate research trials. Responsible to create, organize, and submit IRB documents and follow through with approvals. Provides leadership and coordination of pediatric clinical research studies at Seattle Children’s. Organize the planning and implementation of clinical research studies in accordance with current regulatory guidelines for clinical research in children. Act as a resource for research and clinical staff participating in implementation of clinical research trials. Work directly with patients and families in participant recruitment and the running of study visits.

Perform clinical evaluator tasks including the administration of protocol specific functional outcome measures, maintain and calibrate equipment, maintain training certifications, and perform accurate data documentation. Maintain expertise in research subject conditions and participate in national and global projects to advance the care and research for specific patient populations and their families.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - Professional entry level degree in physical therapy (including BS, MPT, or DPT) - Minimum of 3 years' experience in pediatric physical therapy practice to include the evaluation of pediatric patients.

Required Credentials: - Current Washington State licensure to practice as a physical therapist. - Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider.

Preferred: - Master’s Degree or Doctorate in physical therapy or related rehabilitation science. - Prior experience in the evaluation of pediatric patients. - Prior experience in clinical research coordination. - Training in CAPR (Controlled Air Purifying Respirator) sytems. - Completion of the Good Clinical Practice Course recognized by Seattle Children’s IRB. - Private PT liability insurance. - Ability to flex working schedule to meet the needs of the position.
