Functions in the capacity of Charge Nurse per unit Charge Nurse guidelines, when assigned. Ensures that the operations and nursing care follow Medical Center and department policies and standards. Keeps Manager/Director informed when difficulties and/or unusual situations occur. Provides for allotted meal and break periods for staff.

Demonstrates the ability to provide care in emergency situations and follows established emergency procedures.
