Cost/Price Analyst

Job Description

Must have a degree Looking for the mid-level experience. 2-6yrs experience. Do not want senior/manager candidates.

POSITION SUMMARY

Applies principles of cost accounting to collect and analyze a variety of historical and estimated cost and pricing data. Prepares moderately complex bids and pricing proposals that are economically feasible and competitive. Analyzes production cost performance data. Support Senior Pricing Analyst on large pricing proposals. Ability to input required information quickly and accurately into our pricing systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient with automated estimating, pricing, and accounting systems, spreadsheet and

database applications, and standard business applications software. Ability to read, analyze, organize, and interpret estimates, price proposals, and financial reports. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions by drawing on experience with similar situations. Ability to effectively communicate and present information to team members, and team leaders. General knowledge and ability to apply continuous improvement techniques to work area.

Knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and concepts, including Cost Accounting

Standards (CAS), industry practices, FAR regulations, and policies is a plus.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of another BA or BS degree and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through two or more years of related experience.
