  • If you think you may have read about our family before, you have! We hired a wonderful Nanny/Family assistant a few months ago who we just found out is expecting! We couldn’t be more thrilled for her and supportive of her journey into becoming a full-time Mom. We’ll miss her dearly but are so excited to add a new member to our crew - YOU. We are an adventurous, loving family of 4 who lives by the “work hard, play hard” motto. Our brilliant, hilarious, and unique kiddos are 6 and 9. Seriously, these humans are cool but more on that later! We’re looking for an absolute rockstar nanny (that hopefully has an interest in family assistance) to join us at the end of January and stay with us forever (or at least the next few years)! We absolutely need you by our current nanny’s last day (February 3rd) but we’d love for you to start a week or two earlier than that so our Mary Poppins can show you the ropes! 
  • Here’s the schedule that has been working for us so far but we’re open to chatting if you’re our perfect fit and want to make some minor adjustments! Our critical hours are 3p-6p. We would LOVE for your schedule to be 3p-9p one night a week so we can have a date night and we are happy to add in 7-10 hours per week of family assistant hours before you pick up the kids. Occasional travel may mean that we ask you to come get the kids off to school in the mornings (arriving around 8a) but we’ll make sure you have plenty of notice. If there are minor pieces of our schedule that don’t work for you, pitch your schedule to MGF and we’ll go from there! Our family can guarantee you 25 hours per week and have the option to grow to 30 overtime! We'd love for you to join our team in West Cary January/Early February.
  • Though we’re a pair of hustling and bustling execs, we know how to have a good time! All work and no play is no fun for our family. We love sports, delighting in the culinary skills of local chefs, and exploring the sights of downtown Cary. Everyone in our family is a certified bookworm. Dad loves books he can chew on in subjects like astro physics and history. Mom prefers to read books she doesn’t have to think about and is a sucker for a great pun. Honestly, you don’t really understand the GRAVITY of our situation when it comes to different tastes in books. Are you laughing or rolling your eyes? Either way, we think you’re cool! In our time off we do our best to be uber-focused on our kiddos! We enjoy bike rides, travel, and yummy food. We are always on the search for new adventures. Pre-COVID our house was like a boarding house with family coming and going all the time. We love having our family come stay with us and having epic long dinners + hang time with all of our loved ones! 
  • Our kids are the best and most of the time they get along well or let each other be! Our oldest is curious and ready to learn. She is organized and a planner at heart. While she thrives under structure, she is very adaptable… such a magical combination (and one we’re grateful for inside of COVID)! She will be happy to suggest a schedule, activities, and areas where we need help around the house! Our youngest is funny, energetic, and social. He loves his friends, sports, and routines. Our kids are funny, engaging, and able to make themselves busy reading or creating when they need a little downtime. She and her brother have a great relationship but do know how to push the buttons. They both LOVE music and have varied tastes as Mom and Dad do with books. One moment they are rapping Eminem and the next singing songs from Wicked. We love balance! Our daughter is more clever than you would expect and carries her own version of a Mary Poppins bag with odds and ends she may need to entertain herself (from notebooks to a mini chess board). She’s got life all figured out and wants to be a baker until she is 35… which is when she is old enough to be President. She is a rule follower… except when it comes to a recipe. She is super proud of her own personal banana bread recipe! We have a pool in our backyard and our two little fish live for it. Many of our summer days are spent near or in water so a strong swimmer is a must! 
  • Calling all nannies with a knack for family assisting! When COVID hit, we basically did not leave the house for months and we did not have support with the kids. Our kids are amazing, and they weathered the storm. Kid and family linen laundry, light housekeeping, kitchen upkeep, meal prep, and kid and common area organization are all part of the part-time gig. If you want to add more family assistant experience to your resume we would love some extra support around the house including cooking, errands (like shopping returns), help with home renovation planning and organizing, and managing our family calendar app (you’ll be included in our family calendar to your comfort level!), taking the pup on a mid-day walk, and household organization. Something we adore about our current nanny is her proactivity. We’ll give her a grocery list and she’ll add paper towels to it when we forget since she noticed we were out. That type of initiative would be GREATLY appreciated. We’re big on making sure we nurture independence in our kiddos, i.e. asking them to pick up their own toys, clean their rooms, and help with the laundry. You’ll have two pretty stellar backup helpers at your side! 
  • Our ideal candidate would be an extension of our family, organized, take initiative, and keep lines of communication open!  If the kids are having a great day, let us know! If they are having a bad day, tell us about it! We want you to feel comfortable sharing with us if you’re seeing a behavior so we can make sure we can surround it from all sides. We’re a team here and we want to make sure you’re surviving and thriving. 
  • Our whole crew is vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19 and we need you to be as well. We’re cautiously business-as-usual and are traveling as well as partaking in indoor activities. We want you to live your life and be merry, however, we ask that you’re communicative about potential exposures and avoid things like crowded nightly raves. Occasional raves are cool as long as you bring us (JK). 
  • We have a 1.5-year-old mini Goldendoodle puppy who may be a cat… the jury is still out. While she has some cat-like attributes, she’s friendly with strangers and LOVES the kids. In fact, she considers our son a fellow puppy… and so does he. We would love for you to take her for walks, occasionally drop her off at the groomers, and let her out in our fenced yard when needed! Also, we just took her to a two week training course so she’s on her BEST behavior (for now.)
  • We’re offering $22-26/hr, a healthcare stipend, a 9-year-old's made-from-scratch banana bread, and an adoring, grateful quartet of humans!
