Portfolio Accounting Analyst

We are currently seeking candidates for a Portfolio Accounting Analyst at an investment firm with a location in New York, NY, 10003. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in custody/trade operations and/or fund accounting in the financial services and/or asset management industry(s) and have strong reconciliation skills.

This is a temporary role (est. 12 months) and will pay up to $50.00 per hour (based on relative work experience) within a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be an integral part of the Cash Control team
  • Daily reconciliation of fund cash activity
  • Daily reconciliation of account holdings and activity
  • Reconciliations of various systems
  • Assess currency balance exemptions
  • Resolve, process and monitor overdrafts
  • Process custodian capstock feeds
  • Download Excel reports and reconcile and process for reporting
  • Prioritize the different recon “breaks”
  • Daily, month and quarterly cash balance and position reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics)
  • Minimum 3+ years of custody/trade operations and/or fund accounting experience
  • Previous experience working with breaks
  • Strong Excel (VLOOKUP & pivot tables)
  • Team player with a strong focus on getting the job done within established strict timeframes
