Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implementation of patient specific therapeutic exercise programs, both individual and group programs.
  • Treat and educate medically complex patients on disease management, symptom management and appropriate behavioral modifications.
  • Perform follow-up on all patient therapeutic interventions.
  • Document and provide feedback on patient progress.
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals directly involved in patient care
  • Prepare and maintain required reports and statistics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, required. Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, optional.

    • Minimum of two (2) years related work experience in exercise physiology required.

    • Proficiency in ECG monitoring and interpretation.

    • Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES) from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

    • Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) from American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

    • -this certification obtained or planning to sit for exam

    • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, required.

    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, required.

    • Cardiac Rehabilitation Experience Phase II and exercise testing, required.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $33 - $33 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
