Job Description

National Account Manager – Banking Equipment Leasing

Summary:

Our client is a premier Midwest bank looking to add a National Account Manager with banking and equipment leasing experience. The National Account Manager will be responsible for originating and managing new Technology Vendor programs within the Vendor Technology group. This candidate will work independently to identify new program opportunity and work cross functionally to engage, propose and negotiate/secure a program with the targeted vendor. Once the program is secured, the candidate will onboard/launch the program and train both externally with the vendor partner and internally with the team.



Once the program has been launched, the candidate will be responsible for managing the program and originating new transactions within the program parameters. Origination responsibilities include quoting transactions, negotiating transaction structures/documentation, and shepherding vendor partner transactions through our process. Candidate is the primary interface between vendor partners and the company’s operations, risk, customer service and collections. The National Account Manager must come from the banking industry and have equipment leasing experience.

National Account Manager – Equipment Leasing Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years' of proven experience in consultative sales -- Technology, leasing, ABL, business or commercial banking
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Familiar with all leasing products and capable of preparing and training on leasing
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Some credit underwriting experience or skills
  • Selling and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal skills and Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Planning, Organization and Communication Skills
  • Customer Focus
  • Ability to travel as needed

National Account Manager – Equipment Leasing Responsibilities:

  • Identify, quality, engage and close new vendor programs
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures pursuant to the company’s Vendor Accreditation
  • Prepare both program and transactional proposals and negotiate terms
  • Maintain assigned vendor partner relationships to drive volume and finance penetration growth
  • Meet servicing requirements of assigned vendor partners
  • Works closely with internal Huntington personnel to ensure timely response to all vendor requests and ensure continued support of the sales objectives and to ensure vendor partner responsiveness goals are achieved
