What You'll Do
We are looking for digitally oriented Project Leader and Principal consultants to join our Insurance industry group. As part of our Insurance practice, you will work with clients on a range of projects and topics across the insurance value-chain including digital strategy development, big data & analytics, forecasting, operational model redesign, risk management, digital transformation, and more.
The insurance industry is entering a new era as changing consumer needs and expectations place new demands on existing players. You will create value for our clients with forward-thinking digital solutions that help them address the operational, technical, and financial implications of changes in their business environment.
Project Leaders play a key role on client engagements, managing studies to define client needs and supervising research activities to obtain relevant data. Project Leaders oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and the advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data. They apply knowledge of business principles and industrial organization, develop actionable recommendations, and supervise work including strategic due diligence, product development studies, change management plans, and the evaluation of long-term investment opportunities. Project Leaders are also responsible for managing client contact and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.
As the senior person most frequently at the client site, Principals interact with the client lead on a day-to-day basis to ensure that expectations are aligned. Principals provide the project management oversight required to meet client expectations. Responsibilities may include the development of presentations, managing of external relationships and consultant work progress, providing status reports, and overseeing budgets.
Projects vary based on client needs, but the importance of seeing possibilities where other people find limits will be a constant. Project Leaders and Principals go deep to unlock insight, challenge established thinking, drive transformation, improve performance, and deliver bottom-line impact.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- 4+ years of work experience within digital fields in an insurance context. Relevant experience could include product management, digital marketing & analytics, and/or designing & delivering world-class software products
- 3+ years of experience in a consulting environment, driving large-scale transformations, with a history of excellent service to insurance industry clients
- Advanced quantitative analysis, solid business acumen and problem solving abilities. High capacity for strategic/end-to-end thinking Ability to develop leading-edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value.
- History of building credibility and relationships with leaders, technical and non-technical people to align on strategy, inspire stakeholders, and execute on a day-to-day basis. The ability to work with and lead multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, architects, data scientists—or whatever is required to solve the client’s challenge—will be vital to success.
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, determining the product vision and roadmap, delivering strong customer experiences, and managing stakeholder interactions
- Advanced business degree from a top-tier institution preferred
