Manufacturing Accountant

Perrysburg, Ohio area



Due to a retirement, a stable, well-established manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to work in their production manufacturing organization and focus on cost accounting functions. As the Manufacturing Accountant, you will report to the Controller and will be responsible for completing all cost accounting functions. Daily you will be responsible for the following: Reasons to work for this organization:

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Perrysburg, OH area; there is not any relocation available at this time.

Due to a retirement, a stable, well-established manufacturer is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to work in their production manufacturing organization and focus on cost accounting functions. As the Manufacturing Accountant, you will report to the Controller and will be responsible for completing all cost accounting functions. Daily you will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing standard costs for new products
  • Working with the management team on pricing for customers, change in cost and price increases
  • Reviewing variances and completing journal entries related to cost
  • Analyzing financial statements and completing accounting reporting
  • Completing analysis of month and year end, budget versus actual and profitability
  • Assisting with other accounting functions
  • Other cost accounting functions as assigned by management

Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment and taking ownership of accounting projects. Individuals should be strong with analysis, be detail oriented and flexible with their work responsibilities. REQUIREMENTS for the Manufacturing Accountant:

1. Minimum of an Associate’s degree ( a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred) with at least two years of similar manufacturing accounting experience

2. Experience working as a manufacturing accountant generalist

3. Experience with financial analysis
