Overview
Completes mental health assessments, crisis evaluation and counseling and psychosocial
assessment of patients, for post hospital discharge needs. Assists patients with short-term
counseling and planning following medical crisis. Ensures appropriate decision makers are informed of and involved in treatment planning in the Emergency Department.
Hours:
10am - 6:30pm and every other weekend

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities:
Required:
Education
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited school of social work.
Experience
3 to 5 years hospital social work experience or direct clinical experience.
License/Certification/Registration
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and MN Board of Social Work
Prefered:
Previous experience working as a Social Worker in the Emergency Department
