The senior web designer/graphic designed is responsible for creating a consistent brand experience through traditional graphic design, creating customized print advertising and marketing materials, and front-end development of our digital properties, including websites, social media and digital advertising. This position involves working with a cross-functional team to provide print and digital ads, wireframes, user experience, design, and front-end code to enhance our brands and experience online.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain brand consistency and standards in look, feel and execution of messaging.
• Design traditional advertising and marketing materials for electronic brand management platform.
• Assist in creative services and traditional design for internal and external customers, including customized advertising materials for individual school use.
• Provide wireframes, design and front-end development, through CSS, HTML, HTML5 and responsive design, to continuously upgrade and enhance The Goddard School and Goddard Systems brand presence online.
• Determine design and functionality based on user experience knowledge and usability
• Provide advanced design-thinking solutions and recommendations to gain strategic alignment and encourage innovation
• Participate in exploratory design including aspirational concepts and mood boards
• Develop new materials for brand evolution and growth utilizing outcomes from creative reviews and research
• Conduct user research and provide recommendations both in written and visual (wireframe) form.
• Test concepts, perform task and user analysis, and assist with user acceptance testing.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree in Graphic Design or related field, required
• 7-10 years’ experience in a graphic design department, agency setting, required
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, required
• Proficiency in CSS, HTML, HTML5 and responsive design, required

Skill, Abilities & Other Attributes

• Knowledge of best practices in UX/UI
• Expert knowledge of print, desktop/mobile best practices, and digital design trends
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Detail Oriented
• Experience working in Qualtrics or other survey software
• Data/system knowledgeable/savvy
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Demonstrated analytical strength
• Strong time management, problem solving, planning, and organization skills to work on multiple projects for success in a results-oriented environment.
• The ability to be self-motivated and to work independently.
