Job Summary:
The Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position, in the Division of Interventional Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine under the supervision of the Chief of Interventional Radiology. We are open to applicants for the Instructor or Senior Instructor academic ranks.
We are a high-volume section of 12 full-time faculty and 6 APPs. We anticipate adding additional APPs to address an increase in volume due to growth. APPs perform multiple Interventional Radiology Procedures independently including venous access, PleurX placement, and fluid drainage procedures. They are part of a vibrant group culture with a collaborative teams-based approach to patient care. As such they are actively engaged in the longitudinal IR clinic with partner IR attendings & also manage an independent APP clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical duties involve primarily the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support as well as both procedural and clinical activities.
- The individual will be trained by the Interventional Radiology physicians and APPs in image guided minor procedures.
- The job will require clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, inpatient rounding, family and patient education, admission and discharge from the hospital, and coordination of longitudinal care of Interventional Radiology patients.
- Evenings and weekends are not required for this position.
- This position will be integrated with the entire APP practice so cross-coverage of all sites including University of Colorado Hospital Anschutz Medical Campus, Highlands Ranch Hospital and the CU Interventional Radiology OBL in Highlands Ranch will be expected.

Onsite– this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO and Highlands Ranch, CO.

Instructor
- Master’s Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
- Current Colorado State license by the time of hire.
- Prescriptive authority required.
Senior Instructor
- Master’s Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
- Current Colorado State license by the time of hire.
- Prescriptive authority required.
Preferred Qualifications:

- Ability to work independently
- Flexibility in daily tasks
- Works well with a team member
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Instructor – $103,000 - $139,000
Senior Instructor - $103,000 - $139,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
