Keeling Company is a family-owned and operated distributor servicing a range of irrigation, landscape, and drainage needs. As we continue to grow we are seeking out a Sales Counter Associate with driving responsibilities that is passionate, engaged, outgoing, and genuinely interested in growth and customer service.

Our goal is to find a highly motivated Sales Counter Associate with driving responsibilities. Our ideal candidate has  a “Whatever it takes to get it done” mindset, hard-working, detail oriented, results driven and willing to assist where needed or open to take direction from the Branch Manager when given. Everyone at the branch is cross-trained to be able to support one another in a team work environment.

As a Sales Counter Associate with driver responsibilities, you will be responsible for assisting customers in person, over the phone and on the job site, entering orders in the ERP system, reviewing and pulling orders from a small warehouse setting, and ensuring customers' needs are met in a professional and timely fashion. As a Sales Counter Associate with driving responsibilities you will serve as a local delivery driver when the needs arise.

This individual will need to possess strong leadership, computer and system literacy as well as multitasking abilities. 

• Full time hours, Monday - Friday 8am- 5pm!

Qualifications

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service

• Thrive in a busy, fast-paced wholesale environment

• Working on the sales counter taking orders in person and over the phone 

• Delivering, including loading/unloading trucks

• Loading customer vehicles

• Receiving and organizing inventory/warehouse

• Set the sales floor with new product

• Help maintain a neat and tidy showroom, pipe yard, and warehouse

• Manually or by Forklift move material from one place to another as warehouse and pipe yard needs demand.

Required Skills/ Abilities: 

• 21 years or older

• Pass required drug test 

• Pass required background checks

• Have a clean driving record and valid driver's license

• Pass DOT physical 

• Follow DOT Regulations

• Ability to drive safely 

• Have a clean driving record and valid driver's license

• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.

• Customer service and communication skills

• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

• Competent computer skills required

Education and Experience: 

• High school diploma

• At least 1 year of sales experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly. 

• Must be able to load and unload products without equipment if necessary.

• Drivers work in all weather, and must be prepared for hot and cold temperatures
