Fleet Sales Executive Posting Details Job Details Description

The Fleet Sales Executive reports directly to the VP of Sales, and is responsible for developing, leading, prospecting and developing fleet business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and is responsible for achieving fleet sales objectives

  • Target and develop relationships with 100+ quantity fleets on an account assignment basis

  • Oversees handling, or may handle, key accounts.

  • Services and manages all aspects of customer and vendor relationships

  • Identify product requirements and competitive conditions within each local market.

  • Assist Sales Directors and Corporate Sales Administrator Supervisor with fleet inventory planning and management

  • Involvement in local, regional, and national trade associations.

  • Perform additional special projects as needed.

  • Participate in team selling opportunities

  • Incorporate available technologies to drive efficiencies and effectiveness of the fleet sales process (i.e., CRM, etc.).

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related field preferred.

  • Minimum ten (10) years fleet sales experience relating to spec development, bid process management, marketing to fleets, etc.

  • Experience with full service leasing, national account sales and direct vendor negotiations preferred

  • Ability to modify communication style to negotiate and communicate with a variety of customers - internal and external.

  • Excellent negotiating skills.

  • Disciplined, with good organization and time management skills.

  • Marketing experience is desirable.

  • Ability to interact effectively with highly challenging customers and vendors.

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, focused on follow through and closing deals.

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office preferred.

  • Valid commercial driver’s license preferred.

  • Dependable and reliable attendance required.
