Division Manager

Sales– Getting work is the lifeblood of our organization. The Division Manager will work with the estimating/sales team to ensure best practices are followed while pursuing the best opportunities that assist the division meet its sales and gross profit goals.

Project Management– The companies ability to successfully deliver its services depends significantly on its ability to effectively manage its resources. The Division Manager will work with the division’s operation team to develop and maintain strategies, policies, protocols, and environment that lead to operational excellence.

Human Resource Management– As the divisional leader, the people on the team will dramatically impact the divisions’ ability to execute its strategy. The Division Manager will strive to ensure that his/her division acquires, trains, supports, and provides vision for the best possible individuals who desire to work for a great team.

Company Asset Management– In order to execute the business plan, the Division Manager will need certain equipment, tools, software, materials, and property. These depreciable assets are important to the company’s ability to provide construction services in a competitive manner. The Division Manager will work with his/her team to provide means and methods for effective acquisition, utilization, maintenance, disposal and accounting of all assets under the division’s jurisdiction.

Skills/Minimum Qualification– The person suited for this role will need to demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge of the construction services offered within the division. Additionally, the individual must possess the ability to lead, meaning team members desire to follow him/her. He/she will also demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills which are essential for team leadership. While a bachelor’s degree or higher is preferable, it is not necessary if other aspects demonstrate the necessary skills to be a leader. Finally, the Division Manager must be committed to adhering to OBCI values, confident enough to lead the team, and humble enough to recognize the weight of responsibility and the importance of each and every team member.

Gives Direction To – Estimators, Project Managers, General Superintendents, and Administrative Staff

Works Cooperatively With – Other Division Managers, Supporting Services
