ADAS Data/Analytic Engineer
Job Summary:
Our client in Ann Arbor, MI is looking for an ADAS Data/Analytic Engineer. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
The primary responsibility of this role is to support ADAS vehicle data management and analytics development. Reporting to the [Senior Engineering Manager, ASD4, the person in this role will support the [IVS] division’s objective to research, develop, evaluate, and bring to market innovative ADAS technologies.
As a Data / Analytics Engineer in our Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) area, you’ll dream and realize future ADAS solutions focused on the North American customer, and unique road requirements. Here’s what you’ll be doing as a member of our team:
- Develop data pipelines and analytics for global projects by collaborating and guiding other divisions like ITx, TMC J and Woven.
- Develop data architecture and analytics systems for vehicle evaluations across the company Vehicle platforms.
- Challenge traditional methods and propose/create significant innovative IT infrastructure improvements to speed data processing/management.
- Support IVS members in vehicle troubleshooting of data acquisition and proto-type parts for automated driving systems.
- Configure cloud environment and write software scripts to automate data ingestion and analytics.
- Develop standard data and analytics processes.
- Use agile processes to design algorithms and software using Python, C++, and MATLAB/Simulink do develop software.
Basics:
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, robotics engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience realizing large-scale software and hardware solutions. (2 years)
- Knowledge in data pipeline tools such as Databricks, AWS S3, AWS Redshift, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, and common development environments and version control.
- Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins)
- Experience using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). (2 years)
- Good time management and task prioritization skills.
- Clear and concise presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Willingness to work overtime, when necessary, up to 10% of the time.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer science, electrical engineering, robotics.
- Experience with camera, radar, lidar, or sonar technologies. (2 years)
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure.
