The Goodman Lab in the Division of Gastroenterology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School is seeking a highly motivated candidate to fill an open postdoctoral role exploring the intersection of hepatic metabolism and liver disease.

The Goodman Lab uses cutting-edge technologies and new metabolic tools to understand how alterations in specific aspects of hepatic metabolism contribute to liver disease, with the goal of better treating forms of liver disease that are common, neglected, and have no effective treatments.

The candidate must have:

1. A PhD or equivalent in biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, or related field
2. Strong background in molecular biology as demonstrated by a first author publication in a relevant scientific journal
3. Willingness to work with mice
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
5. The ability to work independently to design and troubleshoot experiments

Preference will be given to candidates with prior in vivo mouse experience and prior experience with metabolism or hepatology.
