Supply Manager, Saab Aeronautics

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

We are looking for experienced Supply Managers to the Procurement organization within Aeronautics that primarily works with Gripen and T-7A Trainer. We work in an international environment with a broad 'flight portfolio' with products and services mainly in the military market.

As a Supply Manager at Aeronautics you are responsible for securing supply through the management of the supplier and related procurement activities, p rimarily linked to Gripen and T-7A Trainer.

You are in charge of all operational purchasing activities and supplier contacts related to a purchase order, such as Purchasing Requests, Request For Quotations, delivery monitoring, returns, claims, invoices etc,. An important part of your role is to monitor and improve the performance of the supplier.

You are involved in procurement activities in both new and existing projects in close collaboration with the Sourcing Manager and technical and engineering teams of Aeronautics. You are also expected to initiate and drive the continuous development within your scope of responsibility.

As a Supply Manager you will build a large professional network not only with our supplier base but also within our own organization.

You have great ability to build lasting, long-term relations with suppliers and our internal customers. It is important that you find it easy and enjoyable to collaborate, both with co-workers and with suppliers, and that you are persistent and persevering.

• Preferred education is BSc, Higher Vocational Education in Procurement or an equivalent documented education.
• You have basic commercial experience and solid knowledge of supply chain.
• You need to have solid knowledge of working in an Enterprise Resource Planning system, such as IFS or similar, as well as MS office in general and particularly Excel.
• You are fluent in both written and spoken Swedish and English. Familiarity with additional languages or international experience are both considered as advantages.

Procurement Aeronautics is responsible for external procurement and sourcing for Aeronautics products. We work in a highly international environment where the majority of our suppliers are foreign. A professional sourcing operation with developed business relations with our suppliers is crucial for the sustainability and profitability of Saab and our products.

Our success depends on the ability of Procurement to build professional and integrated relations with our suppliers. You will belong to 1 of the 3 Procurement departments responsible for qualified Strategic Sourcing of Systems and Equipment.
