CDL A Tanker Driver Full-Time Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin 05/09/2023 Compensation: 28.00 / Hourly Benefit Offered: YES

Our client, a regional leader in ground transportation, has an immediate need for qualifiedCDL A Tanker Driversto join our growing team in Sheboygan Falls.

We are currently offering a $5,000. new-hire signing bonus!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Safety Policies and Operating Procedures
  • Use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, in and out of state to transport and off-load proprietary products to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner
  • Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Maintain awareness of all Federal, State and Local regulations and always stay in compliance with these regulations. Report suspected Regulatory violations or offenses to his/her appropriate manager
  • Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and acts appropriately if action is needed
  • Operate all equipment per company and/or manufacturer guidelines to maximize equipment life cycle and minimize maintenance costs
  • Perform offload procedures on varying types of trucks and trailers using hoses, pumps, fittings, and valves.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles.
  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or company policy
  • Utilize On Board Computer per instructions and makes every effort to ensure accuracy of data
  • Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Exercise care when using all safety accessories to include Remote Control Devices, On Board Computers and Audio/Visual Recording Devices, if so equipped
  • Read bill of lading to determine assignment details.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment services when required.
  • Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading position and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
  • Troubleshoot system and perform basic repairs
  • Maintain professional appearance/good personal hygiene and wear full uniform
  • Help in other areas of the plant when needed

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Follow procedures and SOPs as written
  • Reviews formulation orders for accuracy both when receiving and after they have been completed. Completes and signs off on paperwork as required.
  • Ensures that products meet the quality and production standards based on scheduled demands
  • Reviews production schedules daily and takes proactive measures to ensure their completion. This includes recommendations to modify the schedule and/or manning as appropriate
  • Inspection production equipment to ensure operability and informs supervision of corrective actions to ensure that scheduled products will be formulated per the schedule.
  • Operate equipment that contains Hazardous Chemicals
  • Comply with all Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program requirements
  • Opening and closing multiple valves daily
  • Connecting and/or disconnecting hoses
  • Operating load out pumps for trucks, tanks, blenders and/or railcars
  • Working with power tools including but not limited to saws, drills and/or grinders
  • Ensures that housekeeping standards are always visitor ready
  • Operate packaging equipment, including but not limited to Box Taper, Filling and Lidding machine, Stretch Wrapper and Glue Machine
  • Filling and/or unloading Drums, totes, trucks and/or railcars
  • May be trained to be part of a confined space entry team
  • Handling, transporting, moving, adding and/or mixing liquid and dry hazardous chemicals
  • Provide routine preventative maintenance to the facility
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment within the facility
  • Operate and maintain standard laboratory equipment
  • Perform laboratory testing on field samples and quality assurance samples
  • Record and report testing results clearly to colleagues and supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and safe laboratory
  • Help in other areas of the plant when needed
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs
