The Loudoun County Department of General Services Waste Management Division is seeking qualified applicants for this full-time position at the County Solid Waste Management Facility located in Leesburg, Virginia. The facility provides service annually to over 150,000 customers with revenue collections exceeding $8 million. The Division's business operations have recently seen exponential growth, creating the need for a high energy Business Operations Manager with attention to detail to ensure outstanding customer service and accurate revenue collections and reporting. Under the general direction of the Assistant Division Manager, the Business Operations Manager will manage the Division's front-line interface with the public and administrative support functions. The ideal candidate will bring a solid business acumen and innovative strategies for process and program improvement.

Duties of the Business Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:

•Oversight of customer service point of sale

•Oversight of scale operations

•Supervision, scheduling, training, and motivation of scale staff to provide first rate customer service

•Credit card processing/merchant services

•Account management

•Revenue collection

•Data collection/reporting

•Scale software

•Records management

•Implementation of financial accountability business standards and procedures

•Ensures administrative support is provided to Department and/or Division projects

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Environmental Sciences, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience in public records management and database development/administration with one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Commensurate with Experience

A valid driver's license is required.
