Benefits Specialist

Our client located near Las Colinas, TX has an immediate opening for a Benefits Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis.

Benefits Specialist Role:

The Benefits Specialist will process Team Member health insurance enrollments, status changes, terminations, COBRA, and beneficiaries

Assist Company employees with questions regarding benefits and coverage

Review all benefit deductions and reconcile benefit plan invoices

Handle the processing of invoices for any missed premium payments

Administer FMLA and ADA requests and contact employee

Ensure all 401k elections and update changes are updated in the system quarterly

Responsible for the upkeep of 1095 data to ensure compliance with the ACA

Respond to Medical Support Orders that have been qualified



Benefits Specialist Background Profile:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

2+ years of experience as a Benefits Coordinator, Benefits Specialist, or Benefits Administrator

Ability to comprehend and explain health, dental, and vision plans including LTD, STD, COBRA, Cafeteria plans , and various ancillary plans

Working knowledge of FMLA and ACA with the ability to assist employees

Ceridian experience is a plus

Intermediate Excel skills are required

Microsoft Suite is required, tech-savvy

Bilingual is a huge plus but not required
