Barista FULL/PART-TIME

Job DescriptionAs a Barista, you will be responsible for creating high-quality drinks with speed and precision, and providing stellar customer service to all Buttery guests! This includes brewing coffee drinks, creating latte art, and making fresh squeezed juice, in addition to performing cashier and store associate tasks.

Duties & Responsibilities

Must be able to perform all dutiesin additionto Barista duties Welcome customers by determining their drink interests and needs Present and explain the coffee menu; answer questions Ensure excellent and consistent quality of all out-going drinks Enhance Buttery reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different drink requests Oversee general operation of the barista station:Receive drink orders and put them away in the pantryClean and maintain coffee brewing machine; espresso machine; hot water tower; automated juicerOrganize the shed, pantry and barista areasMaintain inventories, receive shipmentsTroubleshoot breakdowns; perform preventive maintenance; know who to call for repairsMaintain safe and healthy work environment by following safety standards and sanitation regulationsOpening and closing - ensure station is clean and well-stocked for next Barista Adhere to Buttery policies and procedures Follow dress code and be neat in appearance

Requirements

1 year of Barista experience preferred Responsible and reliable; great verbal communication and people skills Ability to work independently, quickly and precisely Ability to train new Barista employees Work well with others, especially the Lead Barista, as well as supervisors, peers, and customers MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO APPLY
