Bethel College (North Newton, Kansas) invites applications for a full-time faculty member to teach courses in Accounting and Finance to begin in the Fall 2023 semester (tenure eligible). Successful candidates will exhibit leadership and management capabilities associated with teaching courses and recruiting students for the college Accounting and Finance concentration. Rank, term, and nature of the appointment are open and depend on the qualifications of the applicant.

Essential Functions
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of Bethel College
  • Participate in the recruitment process of students
  • Foster the development of excellence in teaching within the department
  • The ability to utilize effective teaching methods and strategies
  • Promote collegiality and collaborative relationships with other Bethel College faculty and staff
  • Satisfy the duties of an Official with Authority (OWA) and Mandated Reporter relating to Title IX and the Bethel College Equal Opportunity, Harassment, & Non Discrimination Policy and Procedures
Education and/or Experience

All candidates must have earned a Master's degree in a cognate field and have completed a minimum of 18 graduate credits in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a completed doctorate; possess either CPA or CMA certification and practical experience; and a desire to attract and retain quality accounting students.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, administrators, faculty, staff, and outside constituencies
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks under tight deadlines and stressful situations
