Assistant Teacher: K-12/Part-Time/22-23 SY (Jefferson Parish)

Catapult Learning, LLC is looking for qualified and experienced Assistant Teachers in Louisiana! We have schools in Jefferson Parish in need of part-time (10-25 hours per week, depending on school assignment) Assistant Teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. These positions are in-person and focus on assisting students in grades K-12. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the context of the classroom teacher’s lesson plans and daily structure to guide and support the students’ participation.

Job Duties:

• Assist the teacher with Math and/or Reading instruction.
• Understand and acclimate to the teacher’s routine in order to provide classroom coverage.
• Work with all students in the building to promote their learning and pro-social development.
• Assist with parent communication to keep them informed about their child’s development and any recent behavioral issues.
• Provide overall, general supervision within hallways, classrooms, cafeterias, and school yards as a daily priority.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma (college credits/degree preferred)
• Experience as a Teacher Assistant or in a classroom/school setting
• Must be willing to work with various grade levels
• Working knowledge of MS Office and virtual meeting programs (Zoom, Teams, etc.) preferred
• A passion to help students
