Contracts & Grants Specialist

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing provider RFP and contract processes, ensuring all deliverables/compliance requirements are met and risks are identified and communicated. Responsible for managing and coordinating grant process. Responsible for supporting the Director, Heath Network with compliance and risk management, as it pertains to contracts, grants and RFP’s.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure provider contracts match state contracts
• Ensure the Managed Service Organization and providers meet required service, time compliance and financial deliverables.
• Effectively communicates with providers to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Ensure systems are updated in a timely manner and reports are accurate.
• Effectively communicate with management to mitigate risk,
• Ensure contracts are processed accurately and timely.
• Prepare and submit grant applications.
• Assist and support the competitive Request For Proposal process.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Serves as a back-up to other members of the Team as needed.

This position may require you to work standard hours, as well as flexible hours before and after standard hours, and overtime in excess of 40 hours in a work week.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred. Experience may be considered in place of degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of contracting administration experience.  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. With experience in presentation and training.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint a plus.
• Highly organized and efficient with strong attention to details
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of grant terminology, standards, and documentation.
• Strong familiarity with government, corporate and foundation contract, grant proposal, and reporting processes.
• Possess working knowledge of budgets and accounting practices and procedures
• Demonstrated experience using databases
• Ability to manage change and motivate employees to achieve outcomes
• Ability to analyze and systematically compile technical and statistical information and to prepare meaningful reports and correspondences in a timely manner.
