GeroPsych, Inc., and Key Rehabilitation joined forces to offer an integrated, holistic treatment for geriatric clients throughout KS. We are currently working with McCrite Plaza in Topeka to provide psychology services to the elders.

We are seeking a licensed Doctoral level psychologist with an interest in working with the current “greatest generation” as well as the coming flood of aging baby boomers. We have had a long-term relationship with The Eden Alternative, the leader in innovation in eldercare. Responsibilities

We have a “very part time” position open, for a few hours a week, working in the skilled nursing, long term care, and assisted living setting along with a skilled Clinical Assistant. This job will involve evaluation psychotherapy with elders who have psychiatric diagnoses and/or adjustment issues. The Clinical Assistant assists the psychologist by handling a lot of the leg work involved in the paper shuffling portion of the job.

This position entails very little take home work, on- call, etc. Geriatric psychology is a significant growth area as the baby boomers “come of age”. The work is unusually rewarding, both personally and professionally. We will provide training in GeroPsych systems, we bill all 3rd party payers, and provide a positive, supportive work environment that encourages a balanced lifestyle.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be a Doctoral level Psychologist with an active state license to practice as a Psychologist,
• Must perform job responsibilities in accordance with Key Rehab’s Code of Ethical Conduct and follow state and federal guidelines.
