Incumbent corrects copy, and questions originator of document concerning missing information, improper formatting, or discrepancies in instructions. Supervisor sets priorities and deadlines on continuing assignments, furnishes general instructions for recurring work and provides specific instructions for new or unique projects, may lead lower level word processors.

ISN is seeking a Document Management Specialist to support the Sec-Held HUD contract.

The ideal candidate for this position will use their knowledge of varied and advanced functions of one software type, knowledge of varied functions of different types of software, or knowledge of specialized or technical terminology to perform such typical duties as:

a. Editing and reformatting written or electronic drafts. Examples include: correcting function codes; adjusting spacing formatting and standardizing headings, margins, and indentations.

b. Transcribing scientific reports, lab analysis, legal proceedings, or similar material from voice tapes or handwritten drafts. Work requires knowledge of specialized, technical, or scientific terminology.

SPECIFIC ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Protects the privacy of sensitive information by ensuring only authorized parties are provided access to confidential loan information.
• Provides support for ISN’s document management systems by assisting with related procedures that allow ISN to capture, store, retrieve, share, and destroy electronic records and documents and requires an understanding of loan documentation.
• Processes incoming/outgoing mail, imaging documents, and/or properly storing mortgage-related documents for the effective servicing of mortgage loans
• Follows procedures, while providing support, as needed, with audits and other loan servicing functions, and adhere to company, investor and insurer guidelines.
• Works independently or with a group in a fast-paced environment to meet goals and deadlines
• Builds strong relationships with coworkers for the creation of a positive, collaborative working environment and the preservation of high morale.
• Exercises good judgment with the application of ISN and client policies/procedures/requirements as they relate to Document Management-related tasks and other inquiries.
• Performs other tasks as assigned

• Must be able to pass a government background check
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust
• High School Graduate or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Candidate should have mortgage experience with a minimum 3-6 months related experience
• Ability to use basic computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to manage a high-profile and highly-regulated process within defined timeframes
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and very high attendance track record
• Must be detailed, organized, self-motivated, and a disciplined problem-solver
• Very high data entry accuracy levels
• Target oriented and able to deliver based on targets and deadlines
• Added advantage if knowledge of Document Management process as it pertains to Mortgage Servicing
