Position:Teacher, Assistant Orchestra Director

Location:James H. Baker 6th Grade Campus/La Porte High School

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas Teacher's Certificate
• Alternative Certification Program applicants must have passed content exam(s) to be eligible for employment
• Knowledge of State and UIL policies governing instrumental music

Responsibilities:

• Specific knowledge of subject assigned
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
• Strong organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills

The District contributes $400/month to the cost of employee only health insurance, which is $175/month greater than the state required amount of $225/month.

Salary:

• $60,000 for Beginning teacher with "0" years experience
• $1,000 Master's Degree addenda
• Additional $1,000 Doctorate Degree addenda
• $1,250 Orchestra Assistant Director 6th Grade Campus Stipend
• $2,000 Orchestra Assistnat Director La Porte High School

Pay Grade:Certified Instructional, 10 Duty Months
