Yoh Life Sciencesis seeking anAssay Development Scientistfor a direct hire role with an exciting cutting edge start up focused on gene therapy in South San Francisco.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement analytical methods in support of the company’s pipeline
  • Proactively anticipate assay needs for different programs and evaluate new technologies critical to analytical methods
  • Collaborate across our Research and Development division to drive projects progression toward key milestones
  • Proactively anticipate assay needs for different programs and evaluate new antibody screening technologies
  • Ensures activities are consistent with regulatory requirements for each program
  • Good communication skills and experience authoring and reviewing method development reports, SOPs, qualification, and validation protocols/reports
  • Responsible for data analysis and interpretation, troubleshooting issues and follow up experiment for all assay development matter.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in cellular and/or molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in assay development
  • Hands-on experience in NGS, ChIPSeq, RNAseq and/or related methods
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Strongly preferred: Experience with ICH Q2(R1) Guidelines
