Maxar is currently seeking an Agile Coach to join our Satellite Programs Delivery Software to join our team in Westminster, CO or San Jose, CA.

Life with Us:Your focus:In this role, you will serve as a servant leader and coach for the Space Programs Delivery (SPD) Software (SW) Agile Release Train as it adopts agile methodologies. Commensurate with optimizing how the SPD software group adopts Agile, you will assist with enhancing how the SPD software and hardware groups work together and with how these two SPD groups work with the rest of Maxar that had already adopted the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).What We Offer:Time for dedicated professional development, conference attendance, corporate partner and industry training, peer group collaboration, hackathons, as well as paid certifications, education reimbursement and student loan forgiveness. You will work with your manager, the Senior Director of Software Engineering out of our office in Westminster, CO to set goals and design a development plan to advance your career.Your responsibilities:Acting as a change agent, lead and support the SPD software group in their adoption of Agile and Lean practices.Work to align the SPD Software’s Agile practices with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) practices already in place with the other Maxar software development groups.Work with the SPD Software leadership team to define and implement the training and rollout plans.Leverage (and adapt as needed) Maxar’s current agile training materials to best suit the needs of the SPD software group.Via on-going observation and coaching, work with all members of the SPD Software team to increasingly improve our software development practices.Work with the SPD Hardware teams to understand their processes (existing and evolving) and provide input to how the SPD’s software and hardware groups can work more effectively together.Identify and coach internal Agile champions to accelerate adoption where possible.Minimum QualificationsMust be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain U.S. Government security clearanceMinimum of 8 years of professional experienceMinimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a software development or delivery organization with increasing responsibilitiesBachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Computer Science, System Engineering, or related field. 4 years of experience may be substituted for degreeExpert knowledge of Agile development principles and best practices, preferably with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)One or more senior certifications related to coaching Agile (Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach, ICAgile Certified Expert in Agile Coaching, SAFe Product Owner/ Product Manager, Scaled Agile Certified SAFe Program Consultant)Demonstrated ability to work with geographically dispersed multi-disciplinary teams working in CA and COSoftware development / systems design experiencePreferred QualificationsScaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and knowledgeExperience with Atlassian software suite, such as Confluence and JiraSuccessfully led enterprises to an adoption of Agile practicesStrong sense of self-motivation essential – must be willing to be actively involved in the details of train executionProficiency with requirements management processes and toolsFull knowledge of modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban)Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple prioritiesAbility to translate complex information into ideas and effectively communicateExpert problem solving skills, with sound judgment and decision-making abilityStrong cross-functional team collaboration skillsExcellent listening, written and verbal communication skillsStrong facilitation and presentation skillsMaxar Technologiesvalues diversity in the workplace and is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
