Maxar is currently seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team in Westminster, CO. In this role, it is important for you to bring extensive experience in accounts receivable, strong initiative and a desire and ability to be an effective team player. We also need a team member who is motivated and comfortable in working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:Manage and execute end-to-end operational billing for new and existing customersReview and collection of delinquent accountsReview and approval of credit limits for new and existing customersGenerate internal collection progress reportsIdentify and implement process improvementBuild strong relationships and lines of communication with external and internal customersInterface with multiple departments, including Sales staff and multiple levels of managementCash receipts – accurately apply all customer payments and research unidentified amountsNegotiate payment plans with delinquent customer accountsAdhere to Receivables Accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with GAAP and SOXCollaborate with Revenue Accountants to ensure proper recording of A/R and RevenueAssist with month-end close, quarterly reviews, and annual and quarterly auditsPrepare month-end related journal entries and account reconciliationsMinimum RequirementsMust be a U.S. citizen or permanent residentBachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degreeMinimum of 5 years of hands-on Accounts Receivable experience.Preferred QualificationsStrong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skillsSolid understanding of debits and credits, account balancing, and reconciliation proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExperience with SAP or similar ERPCommitment to excellent customer service and teamworkExcellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on detail and accuracyMaxar Technologiesvalues diversity in the workplace and is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
